Geoff Kilgore grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. He started painting still-life and scenery in oils in 1995 near the end of a six-year apprenticeship with internationally known portrait artist Mark Carder.
Kilgore has a successful art career consisting of private commission work and having his work sold at galleries such as Auld Alliance Gallery in Belle Meade (Nashville), Ann Erwin Gallery in Atlanta and Loretta Goodwin Gallery in Birmingham.
Kilgore was persuaded by clients to enter into portrait work which has become his passion. He captures the essence of his subjects with extreme likeness and creates true heirloom pieces to be admired for generations.
